August 6 – Jr. Gadget Design
August 13 – Jungle Trek

  * Note: Projects listed below are samples.  Each week will contain different projects, and projects may differ from those described below.

  • Boom, Pop, Splat! Send potatoes flying, build your own catapult design and test launching different materials, or squish slime and other chemical reactions of many varieties.
  • Famous Scientists – Grab inspiration from scientists past and present.  Use their research and inventions to create experiments and designs of your own.  Build a cartesian diver, experiment with motion, create chemical reactions and more.
  • Campers in LEGO Adventures will build problem solving skills using LEGO bricks.  Create a marble maze, explore gears and motion, and let your imagination soar as you design new worlds using LEGO.
  • In It’s Electric! your child will explore electricity and circuits.  Play games to explore atom structure, experiment with static electricity and design your own working circuits..
  • Super STEM campers will have a week filled with many different projects in science, technology, engineering and math.  Create chemical reactions, play programming games, design bridges and explore math puzzles.
  • In Go Green Science campers will be be engaged in science that flows from protecting our Earth.  Explore water pollution, harness renewal energy resources, and build using nature.
  • Science of Art is filled with unique crafts that also explore science.  Test different resist materials, create 3D structures and beautiful chemical reaction art.
  • Step into our Time Machine and travel not just to distant places, but times as well.  Measure the size of dinosaur tracks, design and build devices fit for the wild west, and explore metals as we design a coat of arms.
  • In Jr. Gadget Design you’ll use your imagination, tools and your hands to turn your ideas into gadgets!  Build a ball launching device, create your own spinner toy or design a door alarm for your room.
  • In Jungle Trek we’ll travel into the jungle to discover the animals that live there and the resources it produces.  Investigate anacondas, create chocolate masterpieces, experiment with rubber and build your own canopy.

July 9 – Secret Codes & Ciphers
July 16 – Amazing Architecture
July 23 – Sensational Circuits
July 30 – Logic & Strategy Games
August 6 – Cool Chemistry
August 13 – Crazy Contraptions

  * Note: Projects listed below are samples. Each week will contain different projects, and projects may differ from those described below.

  • DI Challenge Camp – Whether you are a Destination Imagination veteran looking to keep up your skills over the summer or you are new to DI looking to test it out, this is the camp for you! Boost your teamwork and problem solving skills with Instant Challenges like build a bridge across two basketballs in under five minutes. Hone your STEM skills with a mini design project that you’ll complete with your camp team and present at the end of the week.
  • Crazy About Coding – Delve into computer programming with fun, hands-on games and activities which will help you with build skills for any programming language.  Explore the fundamentals of computer science (like binary), investigate A.I. (artificial intelligence), and create your own programs using LEGO Boost and Scratch.  Note: While campers will discuss programming languages like JAVA, C++, and HTML, this camp is not intended to teach a specific programming language, but rather to teach fundamentals applicable to all types of programming.
  • Gadget Design – Do you love to design, build, create and “make” things? In Noggin Builders’ workshop, you’ll have the tools and leaders to help you design, build and test your own creations. Build a mini go kart, create your own foil circuitry, or design a light up wand.
  • Stop Motion Animation campers will create their own stop motion animation movies using variety of different techniques. We will explore story creation, build the movie components and edit the final movie.
  • Secret Codes & Ciphers – Cipher wheels, pigeon, dot code, and steganography are just some of the types of codes we’ll explore in this camp.  Then, put your skills to the test by creating your own Escape Room!
  • Amazing Architecture campers will test the strength of materials, create their own concrete mixtures, build a geodesic dome, and create 3D scaled buildings.
  • Sensational Circuits explore circuits and electrical designs.  Build your own circuit based game, create an alarm, design light up art and more.
  • Logic & Strategy Games will sharpen your critical thinking skills with fun games and puzzles. Board games, card games, teamwork challenges and puzzles fill this fun week.
  • Cool Chemistry – Make things fizzle and pop, as we explore chemistry.  Explore acids and bases, put out a fire safely, design a pill coating, and play with dry ice.
  • Crazy Contraptions – Create chain reaction machines (Rube Goldberg machines), design your own carnival games and design roller coasters.  This camp is the place where you can design crazy (unbelievable!) ideas and then build them!
