can be construction paper, printer paper, magazine pages\u2026.<br \/>\nwater<br \/>\ntub or tray<br \/>\nscreen &#8211; premade with a wood picture frame, metal screen, stapler &amp; duct tape<br \/>\nsponge<br \/>\nwhite felt<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"s1\">Here\u2019s how you make paper:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Tear up pieces of scrap paper that you wish to reuse into pieces about 1\u201d square.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Place the scraps into a blender and cover with warm or hot water. \u00a0Use enough water to just reach the top of your paper.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Blend until the paper and water becomes \u201cslushy\u201d.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Place your screen into a tray to catch excess water.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Scoop some of the paper pulp onto the screen.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Shape the pulp by hand or with a cookie cutter or other tool (if using a cookie cutter or tool, remove after shaping).<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Gently place a piece of white felt over the pulp and lift the tray with felt in place and flip over so the felt is on the bottom.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Press a dry sponge onto the screen with pulp beneath to absorb water. \u00a0As the sponge becomes saturated wring it out.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Continue to press with the sponge until no more water is being absorbed.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Carefully lift the screen off the paper and allow paper to dry on the felt for 24-48 hours.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Practice reuse, reduce and recycle by making new paper from scraps!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":5444,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_et_pb_use_builder":"","_et_pb_old_content":"","_et_gb_content_width":"","_monsterinsights_skip_tracking":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_active":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_note":"","_monsterinsights_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[144],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-5441","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-nb-home"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/nogginbuilders.com\/NBwp\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/5441","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/nogginbuilders.com\/NBwp\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/nogginbuilders.com\/NBwp\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/nogginbuilders.com\/NBwp\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/nogginbuilders.com\/NBwp\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=5441"}],"version-history":[{"count":4,"href":"https:\/\/nogginbuilders.com\/NBwp\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/5441\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":5446,"href":"https:\/\/nogginbuilders.com\/NBwp\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/5441\/revisions\/5446"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/nogginbuilders.com\/NBwp\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/5444"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/nogginbuilders.com\/NBwp\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=5441"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/nogginbuilders.com\/NBwp\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=5441"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/nogginbuilders.com\/NBwp\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=5441"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
